A Day of Cuddles, Care and Creativity in Early Years
our Early Years children enjoyed a wonderfully special day as they celebrated Teddy Bear Day on the 24 of September. Each child was invited to bring in their favourite teddy bear or cuddly toy, and the classroom was soon filled with furry friends of every shape, size and colour.
The day was packed with fun, hands-on activities. The children took part in a teddy bear picnic, where they practised feeding and caring for their bears, learning about kindness, responsibility and gentle handling along the way. They sang teddy bear songs and joined in with familiar rhymes, filling the room with giggles and singing. Of course, no Teddy Bear Day would be complete without plenty of games, and our little learners enjoyed every moment.
Why These Activities Matter in Early Years
Days like this may look like pure fun (and they are!), but they also play an important role in early childhood development:
